Bradley Beal didn’t mince words when discussing the Phoenix Suns’ early playoff exit, describing it as a “sh*tty feeling” and lamenting the team’s disappointing performance in the first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite forming a formidable trio with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, the Suns failed to meet expectations, finishing sixth in the regular season and suffering a sweep in the playoffs.
Speaking to the media after the season-ending Game 4 loss, Beal expressed his frustration with the series’ outcome and the team’s inability to live up to their potential.
“You see I’m trying to make light of the situation, but it’s a shitty feeling….That series just sucked, and obviously the last game for me was horrible. So it’s hard to process,” Beal said, per Gerald Bourguet.
Reflecting on the situation, Beal acknowledged the team’s long-term perspective but emphasized the disappointment of falling short in the playoffs.
“We didn’t look as this thing as a 1-year thing….we got time. You don’t wanna use that as a cop-out, but the reality that we live in, that’s the game plan. We have a window. Yeah, it’s a short window, but we have a window,” he said.
