Following the Phoenix Suns’ first-round playoff exit, Stephen A. Smith revealed that Devin Booker harbors a desire to play for New York.

During an episode of ESPN’s First Take, Smith disclosed, “From what I’m being told, and I don’t know if it will ever happen, Devin Booker wants to be in New York.

“That’s what I’m being told. Now, he might deny it, I haven’t spoken to him. I’m just telling you the scuttlebutt in the NBA circles is that brother wanna be in New York.”

Booker, who is under contract with the Suns until 2028, has been a pivotal figure for Phoenix, averaging 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game this season.

As the offseason approaches, the Suns may face questions about retaining their star guard amid rumors of his potential desire to move to the Big Apple.

Booker’s contract, valued at $221 million over four years, adds another layer of complexity to any potential trade or free agency negotiations.
