Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn already made up his mind on who deserves to be named the Coach of the Year this season.
The rookie coach thinks that Mike Brown who took over the Kings last summer should get the award.
“I told him he had my vote for Coach of the Year,” Vaughn said when asked what he told Brown after the game between the Nets and Kings. “He’s done a heck of a job.
“We come from a similar family the way we were raised in this game of basketball. He’s done a great job of getting those dudes to the playoffs, 40 wins for them.
“I grew up in California so I’ve seen Lakers, Clippers, Sacramento basketball for a long time. And to have that franchise where it is, he deserves a lot of credit.”
The Kings are exceeding all preseason expectation. They are currently second in the Western Conference with 42 wins 27 losses and a very close to clinching a playoff spot.
