This is his fourth year in the NBA, but Darius Garland has never been to the playoffs. The Cavaliers are on pace to make the postseason and the 23-year-old point guard is excited about it.
Cleveland is fourth in the Eastern Conference with 41 wins and 26 losses. If the team maintains its current form, it would secure a direct playoff spot.
Garland says that a lot of people on the Cavaliers are fiending for the playoffs.
Via Chris Fedor of Cleveland Plain Dealer:
“I’m fiending for it,” Garland said when asked about the playoffs. “I’ve never been there and I want to get to that point. That’s always been like a dream of mine, getting to the playoffs and hopefully winning a championship. I’m ready for the intensity. I think our squad is, I know our squad is. A lot of people on this team are fiending for it. We’re trying to do everything that we can to get there.”
This season Garland is averaging 22 points, 2.7 rebounds and 7.9 assists in 35 minutes per game.
