Udonis Haslem isn’t happy with what he is seeing in his final year of being a Miami Heat.

“Nobody likes to lose,” Haslem told Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. “I’m losing sleep at night, you know what I mean. This is not the way I wanted my last year to go.

“But I think definitely for me, nothing has been easy in life and I’ve had to work for everything. It’s just another situation where you got to work, man. For us to get what we want, we got to push a little harder, give a little more and that’s just how it is in life.”

The Heat currently occupies the seventh-best record in the East with a 33-30 record. But for this team that was only one win away from punching a ticket to the NBA Finals last year, this could seem disappointing in hindsight.

The Heat have lost a crucial starting piece in P.J. Tucker in the 2022 off-season. They haven’t found any replacement yet until they inked Kevin Love for the remainder of the season.

But more than this issue, Miami has battled injuries and inconsistencies throughout the season, as Kyle Lowry is set to miss his 11th-straight game due to left knee issues.

For Haslem, he can certainly hope that his Heat team will be able to turn things around as they move forward in this daunting second half of the season.
