Following last night’s 117-115 home loss vs. the Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy said that it’s time for rookie Ochai Agbaji to get some minutes (0 points/0-2 FG/0-2 3-PT/1 turnover in 7 minutes).

(via Jump View):

“I think it’s time that Ochai [Agbaji] finds some minutes. He’s worked really, really hard. I think he’s done a great job with our G League coach Scott [Morrison] and their staff when he’s been down there getting minutes to learn how to be a pro and understand how he can help our team. We need his physicality, we need his athleticism, especially on the defensive end, and Ochai’s embraced that. I thought the two threes he took tonight were good ones. I thought those were the right shots to take.

“He understands that he has the freedom to shoot those shots if the ball finds him for a catch and shoot, and continue to just compete and play hard. So I was happy with his play in the first half overall. It’s hard to have gone that long without being in the rotation, so to speak, and then you’re getting real minutes in the first half of a close game against a good team. I thought he handled himself great.”
