After six games out of rotation, Tom Thibodeau gave playing time to Derrick Rose. It was a special game for him, playing in his hometown in front of friends and fans. At 3:31 of the fourth quarter, Thibodeau brought Rose onto the field who was greeted by the ‘MVP’ chant.

“It was amazing,” Rose said. “I tried to hold back the emotion. But to always be recognized like that means a lot. We’ve done a lot here. I’m happy I was able to enter.”

For Derrick Rose, coming back to Chicago is always something really special: “You never know how important it is, or just how we played back then, how it influenced people. To come here and see all the love and get all the love we received, it was unreal.”
