Newcomer Jazzman Collin Sexton considers himself as “100 percent” to play for the next season (h/t Deseret News’ Joe Cole).

“I just know my agent was pretty much just telling me just to stay patient and everything will work out now we be playing whether it was in Cleveland or another team, I will be wearing an NBA jersey,” he said. “So that was pretty much my mindset. I just wanted to just continue to work on the things that I needed to improve on and I let the rest take care of itself.”

The microwave guard was limited to 11 games last season after sustaining a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Sexton, 23, was shipped to Utah along with Lauri Markkanen, Ochai Agbaji and a bunch of future draft picks and pick swaps. To complete the sign-and-trade transaction, he approved a four-year, rookie scale extension worth $71 million.

With a brand-new contract and an atmosphere to start a good chapter, Sexton’s progress is something to watch next season.
