The Phoenix Suns crushed the Los Angeles Lakers by 29 points (123-94) at Staples Center to keep their Western Conference rivals winless. The hosts were without LeBron James, who did not play because of Frank Vogel’s decision. Following the defeat, Lakers head coach was asked to share his insights from the first four preseason games.

“We got to be better. We haven’t played great,” Vogel said. “There’s going to be an adjustment period with so many faces. We understand that. Hopefully it doesn’t take too much time to get everybody on the same page and then sync. Guys getting legs underneath them, all that type of thing. But we certainly got to be better than we were tonight.”

The Lakers will host the Warriors next before travelling to Sacramento for their final preseason game against the Kings.
