FC Barcelona officially started its training camp on Wednesday and made its first practice for the 2021/22 season.
Head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius saw several players from last season return to the team, while FC Barcelona added Sertac Sanli, Nicolas Laprovittola and Rokas Jokubaitis in the offseason.
Pierre Oriola, Nicola Mirotic, Nick Calathes, Brandon Davies, Roland Smits, Kyle Kuric, Sanli, Sergi Martínez and Jokubaitis started the training camp.
Cory Higgins will join the team by the end of the week. Alex Abrines and Nicolas Laprovittola will have a few more days to rest, after playing in the Tokyo Olympics.
Several players from Barca B (James Nnaji, Michael Caicedo, Gael Bonilla, Ibou Badji, Rafa Villar, Agus Ubal, and Juani Marcos) also were present in the practice.
FC Barcelona players will practice at Palau Blaugrana and will then travel to Andorra for a week (August 24-31).
