Sports commentator Brandon Marshall thinks that the absence of Anthony Davis will cost the Los Angeles Lakers their series against the Phoenix Suns. Because other players are not contributing enough.
Marshall thinks that LeBron James alone is not enough for the defending NBA champions to progress. “They cannot beat the Suns with Anthony Davis sidelined,” he said on First Things First. “They absolutely need him. We understand who LeBron James is and how great he is.
“It’s intoxicating sometimes when you have a guy like that on your team, you got everybody sitting around and they’re creating for themselves. Just look at the boxscores last night. Look at what they did. You have Schroder 8 points, Kuzma 11, you have Gasol 12. That’s just not enough.
“When you look at the Suns and what they were able to do and how everybody got involved. It was the team effort. They are the better team.”
