Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis says he will make his return April 22 against the Dallas Mavericks, as long as he continues to feel well.

Davis also noted that it will take some time to get back into game shape and work off the rust, but he was feeling good in practice today.

“I wanted to make sure I was coming back 100%, because it wouldn’t be fair to myself, wouldn’t be fair to my team,” said Davis. “I feel great. … A lot of teams aren’t healthy. We’ve got Bron coming back as well 100% healthy. I think we’ve put ourselves in a good position.”

The 28-year-old has not played since Feb. 14 due to a calf injury.

Last week, head coach Frank Vogel said that Davis would likely be on a 15-minute restriction in his first game or two back.

The Lakers went 14-16 without Davis.
