For the first time this season, the Los Angeles Lakers will be playing in front of their fans at Staples Center. It will be the game against the Boston Celtics on April 15.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel is excited to see the fans in the arena again after more than a year. “Can’t wait! Man, I can’t wait,” he said after the win against the Charlotte Hornets.

“The mystique of being in that building with our great fans is a big part why it’s so cool to be a Laker. It’s just been absent this year and it’s been missing. We’re excited to have our fans back, for sure.”

Both the Celtics and the Lakers will enter the game as the fifth-placed teams in their respective conferences. The reigning NBA champions are 34-21 and Boston is 29-26.
