The Los Angeles Lakers’ newcomer Damian Jones made his debut versus the Golden State Warriors. The 25-year-old center played just 8 minutes before his game was ended by a back injury.

During his time on the court, Jones scored 8 points and 3 rebounds. According to Kyle Kuzma, his new teammate showed he can be a useful contributor for the Lakers.

“I think he’s got a shot to be here if he can just do what he did out there,” Kuzma said postgame. “Be a lob threat, got a big time block. I don’t know how many minutes he played, it might have been seven-eight minutes, but he had three rebounds in that time. That’s a good rebounding rate. If he can do those things in small stints, he’s got a chance to be here.”
