The Chicago Bulls have not made any moves regarding Jim Boylen and his possible departure from the team’s bench. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls are in “no rush” to make a decision on Jim Boylen’s future.
Boylen was the chosen one of the previous front-office regime consisted of John Paxson and Gar Forman. Now, with Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley running the show in Chicago, the fans are expecting a radical change in the culture of the team.
“Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley are spending time evaluating and getting to know Boylen, and remain in no rush deciding on the coach’s future. They’re able to watch him in the gym with players, talk philosophy and learn about his staff.
Because several potential head-coaching candidates among the assistants’ poll are coaching in the bubble for the foreseeable future, there’s even less rush to open up a search process now.”
With several coaches still being in the Orlando “bubble”, the Bulls’ FO is waiting for the chance to become available. Several names were heard earlier, during quarantine, with Sixers’ defensive specialist Ime Udoka being reportedly among the candidates.
Boylen has gone 39-84 with the Bulls, since taking over in 2018 replacing Fred Hoiberg.
