With the club on sale for 25 million euros looking for a new owner, it is certain that the future of the team will be completely different from what the fans were used to. Panathinaikos will lower the budget and the players that used to have high contracts, such as Calathes and Fredette, will either leave the club or accept a reduction to their contracts.

For Nick Calathes, it is almost sure that the next Euroleague season will not find him in Athens playing for Panathinaikos. For Jimmer Fredette, the basketball future wearing the green jersey is still debatable. According to Eurohoops, the American guard will have to lower his standards a lot and accept a pay-cut of approximately 50%. We remind you that Fredette left Greece before any decision been made regarding the resumption or cancelation of both Euroleague and the Greek league.
