During Zeke-End in Tacoma (WA), Isaiah Thomas looked back on making the NBA All-Star Game the same year former Sacramento Kings teammate Jimmer Fredette was a G-League All-Star.

“You know what’s crazy? This is a story I’ve never said. Shout-out to Jimmer Fredette. Hell of a dude. We had no problems. The craziest s*** happened. He was the 7th pick (actually was 10th). I was the 60th pick. My first All-Star year, we’re doing a charity thing for All-Star, he was a G-League All-Star. And it’s no disrespect, it just hit my mind like, ‘Damn, this how this s*** works. In nobody’s mind would they have thought the 60th pick would be an All-Star, and the 7th pick would be a G-League All-Star. Like, that’s crazy. But that’s how this s*** be working. That’s just how it goes.’ And I be trying to tell these kids that. It don’t matter what the f*** happens, somebody gives you a chance, you better take advantage.”
