France endured the come-back of Lithuania and earned the 78-75 victory, advancing to the Quarter-finals of the Basketball World Cup.

The Lithuanians trailed by 17 in the third quarter (59-42), but went on a 15-32 run to tie the game, with 75 seconds to go (74-74).

Yet, Evan Fournier and Nando De Colo made two big shots for the French, who sealed the deal, as Jonas Maciulis missed the game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer.

Fournier (24 points) and De Colo (21 points) combined for 45 points for the winners, whereas Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and eight rebounds for the losing squad.

France qualified for the Quarter-finals, with Lithuania being eliminated. At the same time, Australia, which defeated the Dominican Republic earlier today, also sealed its spot in the next round.

The match between Australia and France on Monday (09/09) will determine who will finish on top of Group L.
