Naz Reid on Sixth Man of the Year award: It’s something I’m pushing for

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid has his sights set on the Sixth Man of the Year award, following a standout performance in the team’s recent victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Reid’s impactful double-double, consisting of 21 points and 10 rebounds, coupled with Jaden McDaniels’ 20-point contribution, propelled the Timberwolves to a convincing 106-91 win over the Pistons.

In a postgame interview, Reid expressed his aspirations for the Sixth Man of the Year award, emphasizing his dedication to both individual recognition and team success.

“That would be huge. It’s something obviously I’m pushing for. But winning comes first, obviously. But I would definitely love to have that accolade under my belt,” Reid said, per Dane Moore.

“I think winning should reflect in that as well. Obviously, you have the bigger impact and things like that, that goes toward a winning record and higher seed in the playoffs. So in my opinion, I think it should go into that.”

This season Reid is averaging 13.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 23.6 minutes per game.
