Naz Reid leads Timberwolves past Rockets

Naz Reid scored team-high 25 points, guiding the Minnesota Timberwolves (52-23) to a crucial 113-106 victory over the Houston Rockets (38-37) on Tuesday night.

Reid’s performance, combined with Anthony Edwards’ 19 points, fueled the Timberwolves’ relentless push for the No. 1 seed in the competitive Western Conference.

Despite Houston’s efforts to rally late in the game, Reid’s clutch plays, including a pivotal 3-pointer, helped secure the win for Minnesota.

With the victory, the Timberwolves continue to assert their dominance in the playoff race, tied for second place in the West alongside Oklahoma City, just a half-game behind Denver.

Jalen Green led the Rockets with 26 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Timberwolves’ relentless offensive attack. Fred VanVleet added 22 points, while Jabari Smith Jr. contributed 18 points and eight rebounds.

Houston’s road win streak came to an end, and the team now faces a challenging path to secure a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference. The Rockets are 11th in the West, trailing three games behind the Golden State Warriors.
