Quickley, Barrett lead Raptors to narrow win over Rockets

Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett guided the Toronto Raptors (19-33) to a thrilling 107-104 victory over the Houston Rockets (23-28) on Friday night.

Quickley scored game-high 25 points, while Barrett contributed 21 points and a season-high seven assists to propel the Raptors to their fourth consecutive home win over the Rockets.

Jakob Poeltl and Scottie Barnes delivered strong performances, recording double-doubles with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and 13 points and 10 rebounds, respectively.

Despite a late surge from Houston, led by Dillon Brooks’ 20 points, Toronto managed to secure the win with clutch free throws from Barrett in the final seconds of the fourth quarter.

Cam Whitmore’s 17 points provided a boost for the Rockets, but his departure due to a sprained ankle hampered Houston’s efforts on the road, extending their losing streak to four games away from home.
