The Indiana Pacers have decided to part ways with Furkan Korkmaz, the shooting guard they recently acquired in a trade deal.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers are waiving Korkmaz, who was included in the trade with the Philadelphia 76ers involving Buddy Hield.

In the multi-team trade, the Pacers received Korkmaz, Doug McDermott, and future draft picks from the 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs.

Korkmaz, who is 26 years old, has struggled to find consistent playing time this season, averaging just 2.5 points in 8.6 minutes per game.

Amid his limited role, Korkmaz made a request to be traded from the 76ers, leading to his inclusion in the recent trade deal.

With his departure from the Pacers, Korkmaz will now explore options to continue his NBA career elsewhere.
