Grayson Allen and Kevin Durant lead Suns to thrilling comeback win over Kings

In a nail-biting showdown, the Phoenix Suns (22-18) orchestrated a remarkable comeback led by Grayson Allen’s record-tying nine 3-pointers and Kevin Durant’s clutch plays, securing a narrow 119-117 win over the Sacramento Kings (23-17).

Allen’s scorching performance, which equaled a franchise record, saw him amass 29 points, while Durant contributed 27 points, including two crucial free throws with 1.8 seconds left. The Suns trailed 113-96 before embarking on a sensational 23-4 run to snatch victory from the Kings.

Devin Booker’s 16 points and 11 assists, along with valuable contributions from Bradley Beal (13 points) and Jusuf Nurkic (10 points), played pivotal roles in the Suns’ comeback. Eric Gordon added 13 points off the bench.

Despite the Kings holding a commanding 22-point lead with 8:22 to play, Durant’s masterful display, highlighted by two key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, sparked the Suns’ resurgence.

De’Aaron Fox, who led all scorers with 33 points, responded with a game-tying jumper with 19 seconds left. However, a foul on Durant during a long jumper attempt resulted in two free throws, securing the Suns’ dramatic victory.

The Kings, led by Domantas Sabonis’ triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, couldn’t withstand the Suns’ late-game surge, extending their losing streak to three games.
