The Utah Jazz have opted not to waive Luka Samanic or Omer Yurtseven, guaranteeing their contracts for the remainder of the season, as confirmed by league sources, according to a tweet by Tony Jones.
Yurtseven, the 25-year-old Turkish center, joined the Jazz during the summer, marking his move from the Miami Heat after two seasons. This decision reflects the Jazz’s confidence in Yurtseven’s contributions, as he maintains an average of 3.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in just under 12 minutes per game this season.
Meanwhile, Luka Samanic, the 23-year-old Croatian forward, has been a part of the Jazz roster since March of the previous year. Samanic has been getting limited playing time, averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in approximately 6.8 minutes per game during the current season.
