Rockets secure victory, ending skid against Thunder

Dillon Brooks led the charge with 23 points as the Houston Rockets (9-9) defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder (13-7) with a convincing 110-101 win, breaking a three-game losing streak on Wednesday night.

Aaron Holiday played a crucial role, contributing a season-high 22 points off the bench and matching his career-best with six successful three-pointers. Holiday’s impactful performance included six rebounds in just 27 minutes on the court, showcasing the Rockets’ depth.

Alperen Sengun’s all-around contribution of 21 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, coupled with Jabari Smith’s career-high 18 rebounds, allowed Houston to dominate the boards with a 53-30 advantage.

Despite a stellar 33-point performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the Thunder, Oklahoma City struggled to find additional offensive support. The other four starters combined for just 29 points, shooting 10 of 38 from the field.

Jalen Williams added 13 points for the Thunder, while rookie center Chet Holmgren showcased his defensive prowess with four points and an impressive six blocked shots.
