DeMar DeRozan guides Bulls to third straight win, defeating short-handed Hornets

DeMar DeRozan showcased his scoring prowess with a 29-point performance, leading the Chicago Bulls (8-14) to a 111-100 victory over the short-handed Charlotte Hornets (6-13) on Wednesday.

This marks the Bulls’ third consecutive win, signaling a positive turnaround after a challenging five-game skid.

Contributions from Nikola Vucevic, who recorded 20 points and secured 11 rebounds, and Coby White, adding 19 points, complemented DeRozan’s stellar performance.

Despite a formidable effort from Charlotte’s Gordon Hayward, who tallied 27 points, and Terry Rozier, contributing 25 points, the Hornets faced challenges with a short-handed roster.

The absence of key players, including LaMelo Ball with a right ankle sprain and starting center Mark Williams due to a back contusion, limited Charlotte’s options. The team utilized only three players off the bench, impacting their ability to mount a sustained comeback.

The Bulls faced challenges of their own, with star guard Zach LaVine missing his third consecutive game due to an injured right foot.
