Doncic’s triple-double powers Mavericks to 3-2 lead over Thunder

Luka Doncic’s outstanding performance led the Dallas Mavericks to a 104-92 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, giving them a crucial 3-2 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

Despite facing a sprained knee and sore ankle, Doncic delivered 31 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds for his sixth career playoff triple-double.

Dallas regained control of the series after a tough loss in Game 4, fueled by Derrick Jones Jr.’s playoff career-high 19 points and P.J. Washington Jr.’s double-double contribution (10 points, 10 rebounds). Kyrie Irving again struggled as he was limited to 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30 points weren’t enough to lift the Thunder, as Dallas’ strong defense limited Oklahoma City to 42.5% shooting.

With a 15-point lead at halftime and solid contributions from key players, the Mavericks controlled the game’s tempo, maintaining a comfortable lead despite a late surge from the Thunder.

Now, Dallas has the opportunity to advance to the Western Conference finals with a victory at home in Game 6, while the Thunder face elimination for the first time in the series.
