Lakers guard Austin Reaves rallied behind Anthony Davis following an impressive performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 30-year-old forward answered his critics with a stellar display, scoring 32 points and securing 13 rebounds—a remarkable rebound from his lackluster showing in the previous game against the Mavericks, where he managed 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Reaves passionately defended Davis, highlighting the tendency of critics to pounce on the star player during off nights. He emphasized Davis’s impact on the game, often unnoticed by the average observer.

“Everybody’s quick to murder AD when he has an off night. … He’s affecting the game more than what the average human is picking up on,” expressed Reaves in a post-game statement reported by Dave McMenamin.

Despite occasional criticism, Davis continues to be a force on the court this season, averaging 22.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 35.4 minutes per game.
