Anthony Davis dominates as Lakers secure victory against Cavaliers

In a commanding performance, Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers (10-7) to a 121-115 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-8), scoring a season-high 32 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while LeBron James contributed 22 points, six rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Facing his former team, James secured his 18th win in 21 career games against the Cavaliers. The Lakers’ supporting cast played a crucial role, with Austin Reeves recording 15 points and 10 assists, Christian Wood contributing 13 points, and Max Christie adding 12.

Donovan Mitchell, returning from a four-game absence, struggled with a 4-of-18 shooting performance but managed to contribute 22 points and six assists for the Cavaliers.

Jarrett Allen’s double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds and Evan Mobley’s 18 points and six assists weren’t enough for the Cavaliers, who faced a setback when point guard Darius Garland left the game in the first half due to a neck strain.

In the fourth quarter, the Lakers built an eight-point lead, but the Cavaliers mounted a comeback, closing the gap to 113-112.

However, Mobley missed a crucial free throw, and James responded with a layup and dunk, sealing the victory for the Lakers with a 117-112 lead.
