Surpassing the legendary Hakeem Olajuwon, Durant secured the 12th spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, amassing a total of 26,949 career points.
Reflecting on this accomplishment, Durant shared a lighthearted anecdote from his childhood, recalling his mother’s fondness for Olajuwon, whose influence resonated in their household.
“My mom had a crush on Olajuwon when I was a kid… that’s all I used to hear in the house,” the two-time NBA champion said.
