Suns claim upper hand in Kevin Durant’s Golden State homecoming

In a highly-anticipated clash, the Phoenix Suns secured a 108-104 victory over the Golden State Warriors, despite the warm reception for former Warrior star Kevin Durant.

Devin Booker shone with 32 points, including a crucial go-ahead layup and a decisive 3-pointer in the final minutes.

Despite Stephen Curry’s 27-point effort, the Warriors couldn’t overcome the resilient Suns, who capitalized on a 27-5 run early in the third quarter.

Jusuf Nurkic made a notable debut for the Suns, adding 14 points and 14 rebounds, including a decisive driving layup in the closing seconds to seal the win.

While Durant acknowledged the warm reception from the fans, he struggled to find his shooting rhythm, finishing with 18 points on 7-of-22 shooting and 10 rebounds.

Chris Paul, in his Warriors debut against his former team, contributed with 14 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, despite a slow start.
