Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star Anthony Edwards has caught the attention of NBA superstar Kevin Durant, who dubbed him as his favorite player to watch.
“I’m so impressed with Ant. So impressed with Ant. My favorite player to watch. Just grown so much since he came into the league,” Durant said about Edwards, per Jon Krawczynski.
Durant’s praise comes after Edwards’ remarkable performance in the playoff series against the Phoenix Suns.
Despite Durant’s 33-point effort for the Suns, it was Edwards’ explosive 40-point game that stole the spotlight in Game 4 of the first-round series.
Edwards, who idolized Durant growing up, expressed his excitement about facing off against him on the court.
“It felt great. I got the utmost respect for KD… I’m excited to play with him this summer, talk a little trash and let him know I sent him home,” Edwards said.
