Hornets rookie Brandon Miller addressed the recent TikTok video that generated buzz after he appeared not to recognize Khris Middleton. In a light-hearted response, Miller clarified that he was merely engaging in some playful banter and wanted to bring a sense of fun back to the game.

During the TikTok game, Miller confidently selected Zach LaVine, Damian Lillard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo for his starting lineup. When Middleton’s photo appeared, Miller jokingly admitted, “I don’t know these two,” referring to Middleton and Isaiah Hartenstein.

However, in a recent interview, Miller clarified his stance, stating that he is aware of who Middleton is and was intentionally having fun with the media and fans. He expressed his desire to inject more lightheartedness into the NBA and encouraged others to embrace the playful side of the game.

“I know who Khris Middleton is,” he said. “I think people should have more fun in the NBA instead of just always serious. I think I can bring the fun back to the game.”

TikTok games are a popular feature of the platform, and a great way to create more content and attract more followers, so many users have jumped onboard the trend.

Miller emphasized that his intention was to generate laughter and urged people not to take the moment too seriously. He welcomed others to join in the fun and even suggested reposting the video for further amusement.

“I troll the media for fun. If you take it, laugh at it. Don’t be that guy about it, just laugh at it, maybe repost it. I’ll repost if you repost.” the rookie said.
