Insider expects Tobias Harris, Tyus Jones to land in a new team next season

Philadelphia 76ers’ Tobias Harris and Tyus Jones of the Memphis Grizzlies are two of the players that Matt Moore of the Action Network expects to play with a different team following this offseason.

Harris has been on the Sixers since the 2018-19 season and is set to enter the final year of his massive $180 million contract with them. The forward has been at the center of the team’s trade mill throughout the years as many believed he continues to underperform in matching the huge deal he inked. Last regular season, his scoring average dipped to 14.7 markers.

Jones is expected to get shipped is a wild prediction in the wake of Ja Morant’s lengthy 25-game suspension. He has been the Grizzlies’ reliable ball handler and floor general off the bench, but the fact that he averaged a career-best 10.3 points and 5.2 assists last 2022-23 season is a reasonable take for Memphis to seize his elevated value and gain a solid return for him from the market.

It remains to be seen if these two will eventually find a new team for them, but it’s certain that both Philadelphia and Memphis are determined to retool their roster following their respective painful exit last postseason.
