The Detroit Pistons are poised to make significant moves in the upcoming offseason, with reports suggesting they could target free agents Tobias Harris and Miles Bridges while keeping an eye on potential trade opportunities.

According to insights from Michael Scotto on The HoopsHype Podcast, the Pistons are expected to have around $60 million in cap space, providing them with ample flexibility to pursue their offseason plans.

While targeting free agents like Harris and Bridges is part of the Pistons’ plan, they are also considering leveraging their cap space to facilitate trades for impactful players.

The Pistons’ approach contrasts with that of the Houston Rockets, who spent their entire cap space in the previous offseason. Instead, Detroit aims to strategically allocate their resources to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.

31-year-old Harris, currently with the Philadelphia 76ers, is set to become an unrestricted free agent after his current contract expires. Harris boasts a strong track record, averaging 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

Bridges, a 26-year-old forward for the Charlotte Hornets, is also on the Pistons’ radar. Bridges will enter unrestricted free agency this summer following an impressive season, where he averaged 21 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
