Joel Embiid reacts to another career night for Sixers

In another spectacular display this season, Joel Embiid emerged as the star of the league for the Philadelphia 76ers this Friday.

Against the Charlotte Hornets, Embiid unconsciously feasted for 53 points on 20-for-32 shooting to go with 12 rebounds to help the Sixers on the 131-113 thrashing.

He just became the first player this season to drop two 50-point major bombs. But more than anything, the superstar big man is happy to collect the easy win.

“We won,” Embiid said, via Ky Carlin of USA TODAY. “It’s good to do that when you win. It would suck to have those type of scoring nights if you lose. I’m just happy it’s contributing to winning. Whether I’m scoring a lot, but especially if I’m scoring a lot, at the end of the day, what matters is if it brings us the win.”

He is delighted by the idea that his productive output usually brings a win for his team.

“Every single time, it seems to bring us the win so just gotta keep trying to be efficient and try to play with my teammates,” Embiid continued. “Good things happen when you’re worried about the right things and that’s moving the ball and the ball just finds me.”
