Jay Williams: “The days of James Harden single-handedly carrying offenses? That’s over”

James Harden had the reigns of the team in Houston as he was undoubtedly the sole leader of the Rockets. But the 32-year-old superstar is no longer in position to carry his team, says former NBA player Jay Williams.

According to him, the 76ers will need Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey to consistently deliver high level performances, like they did in Game 1 against the Raptors, in order for Philadelphia to go far into postseason.

“The days of James Harden single-handedly carrying offenses? That’s over,” Williams said on ESPN’s Get Up.

Harden had 22 points in Game 1 and was the Sixers’ third top scorer behind Maxey (38) and Joel Embiid (26).
