Golden State Warriors are not willing to part ways with James Wiseman any time soon, as the franchise is seeing the sophomore center as a potential future star.
Wiseman, who has yet to play this season after undergoing meniscus surgery, is often cited as a piece the Warriors could part with to gain an immediate upgrade.
According to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, the Warriors have absolutely no interest to trade Wiseman, and they also believe that the young center will have learned a lot from watching the team during his injury recovery.
At the same time, the Warriors will become even more expensive, if they try to trade Wiseman’s rookie contract for an NBA star.
The Warriors selected Wiseman with the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He could still play a part down the stretch for the 21-4 Warriors.
