Los Angeles Clippers have a brutal start to face in the NBA regular season without Kawhi Leonard, who is out indefinitely with injury.

According to Ohm Youngmisuk, Paul George’s ability to carry the Clippers through adversity will be the key for the franchise this season. The ESPN reporter claimed that George could have an MVP-caliber season with Leonard out.

Youngmisuk told Mark J. Spears in a segment of The Jump that Paul George certainly silenced his doubters this last postseason.

After Leonard went down, George exploded for the Clippers, averaging 30 points, 11 rebounds and six assists including an elimination game with 41 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists on 75% percent shooting.

He also added that “he certainly played well enough to think he can carry this team without Kawhi Leonard. I think we could see MVP PG this season.”
