Baskonia forward Alec Peters suffered a preseason setback, as he is sidelined with a right knee injury that occurred during a prep game, the team announced Wednesday.

The forward/center from Washington, Illinois, has since been focused on recovering, following the instructions of the Baskonia medical staff.

Peters has been an important rotational piece for Baskonia. He also played for CSKA Moscow and Anadolu Efes, before joining the Spanish side the previous offseason.

Peters registered 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in his third EuroLeague season. He put up 10.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in the 2020-21 Liga Endesa.
