Basketball Olympic Tournament will start soon in Tokyo, and Dimitrije Curcic of RunRepeat gathered the opinion of 83 basketball experts including Talkbasket.net.

Team USA remains the top favorite to win the gold, with 72.3 percent of the experts thinking that Gregg Popovich and his squad will go all the way.

Spain (9.6%) and Australia (10.8%) seem to be the two teams that could challenge Team USA for the first place in the Tokyo Olympics tournament.

When the experts were asked about the teams that they are expected to perform under their initial expectations, France (26.5%) and Argentina (24.1%) are believed to be the most likely teams to underperform in the tournament.

In the individual awards department, Luka Doncic is predicted to be among the top performers as he was chosen by the experts as the player to lead the tournament in scoring and assists.

As for the MVP award, Kevin Durant will be the likely recipient, according to the poll, while Rudy Gobert is expected to lead the tournament in rebounds.

Basketball Tournament of the Tokyo Olympics is set to begin on July 25.
