That would be too awesome! This NT will be at its full potencial at the OG's, and USA, as always will bring a promising rooster, and for those two to meet in the finals would be just awesome. I was hoping to see them in the finals of WC and I think that USA would have a lot more trouble with Serbia then with Turkey...

Djilas is new president of Basketball Association of Serbia
Quote:The new president reiterated that KSS has four objectives: to restore the basketball where her place - on the path of success, a revival of regional basketball centers in Serbia, spreading the popularization of basketball and women's basketball, to be in the same league with the men.
"The first goal is the good functioning of the Union to the Olympic Games in London," said Djilas.
After the appointment of Djilas in his first address to the media said he would remain coach Dusan Ivkovic men's national team of Serbia.
Djilas was immediately appointed four vice presidents and gave them their assignments. Dejan Bodiroga will be in charge of national teams, Dejan Tomasevic of competition, Ana Jokovic for women's basketball, and Vuk Mitrovic for marketing.
"I chose people who will not be the only vice, but those who are trying diligently to work," said the mayor of Belgrade.
Djilas thanked the delegates for the trust Electoral Assembly KSS, noting that his predecessor at the head of the Serbian House basketball Dragan KapiÄiÄ with his associates succeeded in our sport trophy back to the right place with results success.
"I was disgusted when five years ago at the World Championships in Japan, the team of Serbia and Montenegro came into the final match with Spain without the intention to fight for victory," said Djilas, who agreed with arguments by which the public is financial situation of the Union is very bad.
Belgrade Mayor explained that the new leadership KSS left a legacy debt of 100 million dinars(around 985.000 euros), and announced that in future priority will be to provide normal conditions for the preparation of all the representative teams.
"Our goal is to create a Union of our stable organization and to place it on the healthy leg. I believe in our team and experience Bora Stankovic and other sports officials who can always be useful to us, "said Djilas.
Unlike his predecessor KapiÄiÄ who, he said, has invested much time in the previous term, the new leader of the KSS will distribute a number of duties with the nearest associates.
"Even now I believe that we will, but the basic goals, to have time for side projects. We plan to revitalize the well-known regional centers and return them to the center of developments in the domestic front, "said Djilas, congratulating the people of Valjevo and Kragujevac Metalac and Radnicki who are without the help of the Alliance succeeded.
Djilas said that he will be one of the goals of promoting basketball, explaining that this means allowing all who wish to engage in this sport.

On Euro, I am only afraid of Lithuanians. Others don't stand a chance! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

What about Rakovic? Isn't he Serbian?
He's a strong guy, although needs to work on his finesse and fine/soft touch under the basket. He could be doing a good job for the NT together with Krstic.
What about Velickovic? He's been unused by Real this season, will he be in good enough shape to play for the NT?

It's that kinda over-optimism that can be Serbia's biggest downfall too <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/baby.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Well, sure, but I don't play for our NT don't I? And I doubt that my optimism has any effect on the outcome of the tournament <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

I think that's a given <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rofl3.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
I meant if Serbia in general is over optimistic, or fights/vendettas break out on the team like in the past, causing players to quit, etc. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

It is hard to believe that because of one reason:
This gneneration didn't do anything great YET. They have one silve medal and that's it. They need two or three more gold medals and then they can start showing off like previous generation. They need to proove themselves to the nation, and they r aware of that. This EC is the perfect oportunity. And to be honest, when Duda talks a little bit lauder, I am sure that their pants become wet or so <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
