It seems that another European star looks to be leaving the NBA to return to the Euroleague. And our gossip column for the weekend starts with that story.

VESELY TO FENERBAHCE?

After a few years in the NBA with spells playing for Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets, Czech Republic international Jan Vesely looks set to leave for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Vesely looks set to accept a three-year deal with the final year being a player option.

The forward has played 161 NBA games, averaging 3.7 points and 3.5 rebounds. Before he jumped to the NBA, he played in the 2010 Euroleague Final Four with Partizan.

VETERAN TUNCERI SIGNS FOR BESIKTAS

Kerem Tunceri has signed for Besiktas as a replacement for the recently departed Mehmet Yagmur.

The Turkish international averaged 8.5 points a game last season for Turk Telekom Ankara.

MACVAN AND HAMILTON ON KUBAN’S RADAR?

Lokomotiv Kuban are reportedly interested in Milan Macvan and Justin Hamilton, according to David Pick of one.co.il

Macvan has played two seasons with Galatasaray and is rumoured that he won’t stay with the Istanbul side.

Justin Hamilton instead is currently playing in the NBA Summer League with Miami Heat.

DWIGHT HOWARD: WE WON’T MISS PARSONS

News of Chandler Parsons agreeing a three-year, $45million deal with the Dallas Mavericks isn’t bothering Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard.

Why isn’t he bothered, I hear you ask?

“We have myself and James [Harden],” Howard said. “We have the best center and the best two guard in the game on the same team. It’s on us.”

The Houston-Dallas games this upcoming season should be most interesting.

IRVING EXCITED ABOUT LEBRON RETURN

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving is probably more excited than anyone that LeBron James is heading to the Cavs.

Well … Wouldn’t you be?

The fourth-year point guard, speaking Saturday at his basketball camp at Independence (Ohio) High School, said he has a “great feeling” about the upcoming season.

“It’s an exciting time, I can tell you that,” Irving said, according to Fox Sports Ohio. “Everything is happening.”

“I was excited,” Irving said. “You have to empathize with the guy. I think we all felt his emotions with his essay [on SI.com]. … I found out like everyone else found out.”
