Maccabi Tel Aviv guard, Scottie Wilbekin was fined for throwing a bottle at Maccabi Rishon Lezion fans following the loss of his team a couple of weeks ago. Wilbekin will have to pay the amount of 25,000 Israeli shekels (around 6,397 euros) and in case something similar happens again, the player will be suspended from the Israel league for one year.
According to Walla, the player says he was under a lot of pressure due to the coronavirus isolation and was provoked by the home fans. Wilbekin apologized, saying this will not happen again in the future.
