Mike Woodson could return to Knicks as an assistant if he doesn’t find a job as HC

Via Bleacher Report

We don’t know if Mike Woodson will eventually be the Knicks’ next head coach, but in any case, Woodson will return to New York. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported Friday that Woodson, who officially interviewed for the vacancy as head of the team this week, could eventually be hired as assistant in the Knicks if he doesn’t get the job.

Woodson, who is currently an assistant coach for the Los Clippers, coached the Knicks from 2012 to 2014, going 109-79 (.580) with two playoff appearances. The team hasn’t had a winning season since it separated from Woodson.
