The New York Knicks have claimed two-way player Jared Harper on free agency waivers and waived two-way guard Kadeem Allen.

Harper, 22, signed a two-way contract with the Phoenix Suns last July after going undrafted out of Auburn.

The 5-foot-10 guard only played a total of eight minutes in three appearances for the Suns this season, as he spent most of his time in the G League.

In 33 games for the Northern Arizona Suns, the Suns’ G League affiliate, Harper averaged 20.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game.

The Knicks would have to re-sign Harper in the fall if they want to keep him under their control past 2019-2020.

27-year-old Allen on the other hand, is on track to become a free agent if he clears waivers this weekend.

The 6-foot-1 guard played 10 games for the Knicks and 24 games for the Knicks’ G League affiliate Westchester Knicks.

In those 24 G League games, Allen averaged 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
