James Augustine not only had the best game of the season as he poured 31 points in clash with CSKA Moscow but also beat the buzzer to give Khimki a 90-87 win. Watch the video of the winning shot.
The Russian giants squared off in VTB United League. Khimki entered the game with a perfect 12-0 record while CSKA had 1 loss in twelve games.
Kresimir Loncar tied the game for Khimki at 87-87 with 2.7 seconds left to play. Ettore Messina called for a timeout giving his side an opportunity to inbound at the halfcourt.
But it was enough for Khimki to sneak a win. Viktor Khryapa’s inbound was intercepted by James Augustine who sprinted towards CSKA’s basket and took a clutch three-pointer which went leaving CSKA stunned.
