Standings after first window of FIBA EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers

The first window of the FIBA EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers saw European powers upset and impressive attendances.

In Group A, defending 2019 FIBA World Cup champion Spain got stunned by Poland, 80-69.

In Group C, Belgium blew out Lithuania, 85-65.

In Group D, Turkey was upset twice; once by Netherlands, 72-65 and then by Sweden, 87-80.

In Group E, Serbia was surprised by Georgia in a 94-90 loss.

In Group F, defending 2017 EuroBasket champion Slovenia were taken down by Hungary, 77-75.

In Group G, Great Britain conquered Germany, 81-73.

Finally, in Group H, Latvia was upset twice; once by Bosnia and Herzegovina, 62-61 and then by Bulgaria, 110-104 in double overtime.

Here were the top five attendances of gameday 1 (Feb. 20 and Feb. 21):

1. 11,000 – Poland vs. Israel at the Arena Gliwice in Gliwice, Poland
2. 10,100 – Latvia vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Arena Riga in Riga, Latvia
3. 9,563 – Turkey vs. Netherlands at the Ankara Arena in Ankara, Turkey
4. 7,099 – Georgia vs. Switzerland at the Sports Palace Tbilisi in Tbilisi, Georgia
