Americans thump Australia

United StatesUnited States national team continued their march towards Olympic gold with a big win against Australia. Although Aussies managed to keep the game close in the first quarter and wasted many chances to take the lead.

Just as it happened in many other games, USA turned the upper gear in from the second quarter leaing no chance for their opponents to catch them later in the game.

The biggest advantage that Americans had was rebounds. They outrebounded Australia 57 to 28.

Australia's main star Andrew Bogut from Milwaukee Bucks had only 4 points during 11 minutes on the court beforing getting injured. 19-year-old Patrick Mills continues showing great promise as he was the top scorer for Australia with 20 points.

Meanwhile Kobe Bryant led USA with 25 points and only one assist.
