The Los Angeles Lakers announced that they and head coach Luke Walton have agreed to part ways after three seasons.
“I want to thank Jeanie Buss and the Buss family for giving me the opportunity to coach the Lakers. This franchise and the city will always be special to me and my family,” Walton said, per ESPN.
This season, the Lakers finished with a 37-45 record in the Western Conference and missed the playoffs.
Monty Williams and Tyronn Lue are the main candidates in the Los Angeles Lakers search.
